A Clockwork Orange

Let me start off by saying that I've never seen this film before. I am familiar with it because of the internet so, I sort knew what I was going in to. I have seen other Stanley Kubrick movies that ranged from the weird to serious and I have enjoyed them thuroughly. I am about to voice what might be an unpopular opinion. I did not like nor understand A Clockwork Orange. I couldn't understand a large portion of what Malcolm McDowell was saying. And no, it wasn't because of his accent. I have watched movies and TV shows that have characters with much thicker accents and understood them fine. There was a guy sitting at the end of the aisle from us would randomly giggle during the film. Not only was it annoying it was also confusing because I thought I was missing something. I was bored because I didn't like the movie and was waiting for it to be over.

The true highlight of the evening was going to N.Y. & C. for dinner. They serve both New York and Chicago styles of pizza. (And yes, I know that somebody is screaming "Blasphemy!" to the heavens.) They serve some of the best damn pizza I've ever had.

Film Rating: 1/5
